Cristal Laser

Europe's premier non linear crystals manufacturer Since 1990 Manufacturer of Flux-Grown Non-linear Optical Materials With now a 30+ year rich history, our path has been one of steady and consistent growth. We were founded as the offspring of a research team at the University of Nancy, France and we’ve always kept a local foothold while serving customers globally, being the only European manufacturer in our specialty. We now boast a top-notch 2,500 sq. meter facility where all critical activities – from the design of furnaces to crystal growth, optical fabrication and metrology – are integrated. Our greatest asset though remains our staff of highly committed individuals who bring passion every day into what they do, thus making our customers’ achievements happen.

  1. RTP pairs
Electro-optic RTP (Rubidium Titanyl Phosphate) crystals are mostly used in a temperature-compensated scheme, thus using matched pairs of crystals which offer a range of benefits: Non hygroscopic High electro-optic constant Good extinction ratio No piezo or pyro-electric effects Can be mounted as RTP Q-switch or RTP pulsepicker See below the advantages of using Cristal Laser's index-matched pairs of crystals for those of our customers who perform their own setup. 2. RTP Pockels cell
RTP (Rubidium Titanyl Phosphate) Pockels cells bring a number of benefits compared to other electro-optic materials: Non hygroscopic Low switching voltage Good extinction ratio No piezo and pyro-electric effects Used either as RTP Q-switch or RTP pulsepicker Cristal Laser has developed precise alignment techniques that enable us to offer our customers complete, plug-and-play RTP Pockels cell assemblies with a superior level of performance for electro optics applications. 3. RTP Phase Modulator
RTP may also be used in a single-crystal configuration for phase-modulation, taking advantage of the high r33 electro-optic coefficient. In this case, the laser emission is polarised along the crystal's Z-axis and the optical length of the crystal can be precisely adjusted by the voltage applied between the Z-sides. The following features make RTP a good material for phase-modulation: No water-sensitiveness High electro-optic constant No piezo or pyro-electric effects It is often used as an OPO / OPA gain medium for emission in the 3µm range as well as an OPO crystal for eye-safe emission at high average power.
